This customer came to us looking for a vast redesign of their existing product line. Although all of the items featured in this line functioned acceptably, there was a strong interest not only to give some aesthetic continuity between their products but also to add some extra functionality. This redesigned LED would also need to match design cues from its product family.
With the external features locked in thanks to the LED’s place in a product family, we looked at the electronics and made several key upgrades. Beyond simply increasing light output, a modern, illuminated pushbutton switch to power on and off the light was incorporated as well as giving the device proper fuse protection.
